For years, Pequeños Gigantes Orphanage struggled without a water source. Their well had dried up, and the only storage option they had was an uncovered "pila" (a deep water basin) that remained empty most of the time. Without a reliable water source, even the most basic tasks—washing dishes, taking showers, or flushing toilets—became a daily challenge.
Through the generosity of donors and the dedication of volunteers, we took action! First, we arranged for water deliveries a couple of times a month. Then, our incredible team built a protective cover over the pila to keep the water clean and safe for the children. Next, we installed electrical systems and a pump to efficiently move water into the home, making daily life much easier.
This project was an answered prayer for Pequeños Gigantes. After years of struggling, they finally have a consistent and safe water supply—something so basic, yet life-changing for the children in their care.
