Statement of Beliefs
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative, and infallible Word of God. It is the foundation for truth, the final authority for faith and practice, and reveals God’s heart and His plan for humanity.
Scripture:
2 Timothy 3:16–17; Hebrews 4:12; Psalm 119:105
God: Father, Son & Holy Spirit
We believe in one God who exists eternally in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
God the Father is the loving Creator and Sustainer of all things.
Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became fully human while remaining fully God. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose physically from the dead, ascended to heaven, and will return again.
The Holy Spirit dwells within believers, empowering them to follow Jesus, live in holiness, and serve with spiritual gifts.
Scripture:
Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1–14; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:8; John 16:7–14
Humanity & Sin
We believe all people are created in the image of God, designed for relationship with Him and with one another.
Because of sin, humanity is separated from God and unable to save itself. Only through Jesus Christ can we be forgiven and restored.
Scripture:
Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:2; Romans 6:23
Salvation
We believe salvation is God’s gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
Through His death and resurrection, Jesus provides forgiveness, new life, and eternal hope for all who believe. Salvation is not earned by works but results in a transformed life.
Scripture:
Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 5:8; Romans 10:9–10; 2 Corinthians 5:17
The Church
We believe the global Church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers.
We gather to worship, grow spiritually, serve others, and share the good news of Jesus.
We practice baptism and communion as outward expressions of our inward faith and obedience.
Scripture:
1 Corinthians 12:12–27; Ephesians 4:11–16; Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 2:41–42
Romans 6:3–4 (baptism); 1 Corinthians 11:23–26 (communion)
Christian Living
We believe followers of Jesus are called to love God wholeheartedly and love people sacrificially. Christian living is marked by holiness, integrity, compassion, and generosity as we reflect the character of Christ.
Scripture:
Matthew 22:37–40; Micah 6:8; Galatians 5:22–23; Philippians 2:1–5
Caring for Orphans, Widows & the Vulnerable
We believe caring for those in need—especially orphans, widows, the fatherless, the oppressed, and the poor—is central to the heart of God and a demonstration of authentic Christian faith.
We commit ourselves to justice, mercy, and tangible acts of love.
Scripture:
James 1:27; Psalm 68:5–6; Isaiah 1:17; Deuteronomy 10:18
Proverbs 14:31; Matthew 25:40
Human Dignity, Marriage & Family
We believe every person has God-given worth and purpose because they are made in His image.
We believe in the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death.
We uphold God’s design for marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman.
Scripture:
Genesis 1:27; Psalm 139:13–16; Proverbs 31:8–9
Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4–6
Prayer & Spiritual Warfare
We believe prayer is vital for knowing God, hearing His voice, and experiencing His power.
We acknowledge a real spiritual enemy but stand firm in Christ’s victory, equipped with God’s armor.
Scripture:
Philippians 4:6–7; 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18; Ephesians 6:10–18; John 16:33
Christ’s Return & Eternal Hope
We believe Jesus Christ will return visibly and triumphantly to establish His eternal kingdom.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, final judgment, and the reality of both heaven and hell.
Believers will be with God forever, and this hope inspires us to live with purpose and urgency.
Scripture:
1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Matthew 25:31–46; John 14:1–3; Revelation 22:12
