They have been married for since September 2003 & have been blessed with a wonderful family & a heart to serve! They serve alongside their two children Kyler (18 years) & Lexie (16 years) who take an active role in serving the vulnerable children & widows in their care.  After coming down to Mexico from Northern California & seeing great need they knew that God was calling them to go and serve.  After 2 scouting trips they committed to God's call and 5 months later they packed & made the move to Mexico.

S.O.W. Ministries started in response James 1:27: "Religion that God the Father accepts as pure & faultless is this: to look after orphans & widows in their distress & to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."  Their Passion for the orphan child and the clear call from God's word, made it clear that this is His will for their lives.  It is their desire to live out their faith, & to demonstrate God's love to the vulnerable and "forgotten" people.  They believe that the bible is the written & inspired word of God, & that He is the same yesterday, today & forever. He is the God who provides not only for their family, but for the children, widows & single moms that they serve as well.

Travis enjoys using his business & administrative experience to help orphanages with logistical & administrative needs as well as leadership development. Also, his general handy skills help with home maintenance. Amber enjoys cutting hair and helping with cooking, art, & bible classes. They both enjoy organizing, painting, cleaning & are willing to help where there is need. Kyler enjoys playing games, serving food & helping in the kitchen. Lexie loves babies! Holding, rocking, feeding, anything with babies! As a family they are excited to see how God will grow and stretch them as He guides their steps.

As a family they love to travel, explore & play with kids. Which of course make Mexico a great fit! Meaning lot's of road trips, visiting different orphanages & families, both beaches & mountains, & homeschooling opportunities galore... Above all they just want to share the LOVE of the Lord with those around them. Meeting new people and providing prayer, love & whatever needs they can help with to make life better for those God has placed in their path! Loving God & loving others one day at a time...
