Sometimes, well-intended projects fall short due to a lack of construction experience. When we visited Pequeños Gigantes Orphanage, we saw the dangerous effects of poor construction firsthand:
The boys’ bathroom was suffering from severe water damage.
A newly added roof had been attached with just a couple of small 2x4s, creating serious safety risks.
Electrical outlets and lighting were missing in key areas.
We knew we couldn’t leave these issues unaddressed. Thankfully, a team of skilled construction workers from Rocklin, California, stepped up to help. They repaired the water damage, reinforced the roof for stability, and installed new electrical outlets and lighting to make the space safer and more functional.
Now, these children have a secure, well-built environment—one where they can focus on growing, learning, and simply being kids, without worrying about structural dangers.
